Bangor Garth Pier
Nicky was recently approached by the Friends of Bangor Garth Pier to produce an artwork to celebrate its 125th Anniversary. The finished piece is now in the online shop (English and Welsh versions) with 20% of sales going to the FBGP.
Avril Wayte, Chair of FBGP said: ‘This wonderful print is inspired by Bangor’s splendid Victorian Garth Pier, and by the grandeur of the mountains of Snowdonia. Take a journey back in time to the early days of this wondrous pier, when Victoria was on the throne, and in this, its 125th year, this exciting new work allows you to celebrate its vibrancy and beauty, and dream of walking down the length of it, once again.’
Nicky said: ‘This was a lovely project, and took me back to a time when we holidayed on Anglesey . I used a slightly different palette for this piece, a little more Norman Wilkinson than Frank Henry Mason’.
